"If we had not had AIS™, we most certainly would have had to request additional staff to answer phone calls. AIS™ also helped reduce booking errors and citizen complaints. " - Elkhart County, IN

Background

Telerus automates routine inquiries to help local jails lower costs and improve citizen service.  We pioneered Interactive Voice Response (IVR) driven “inmate information lines” for jails over five years ago and currently service more facilities than all competitive offerings combined.

Telerus was founded by a mega jail corrections officer and a Fortune 500 company software executive who intensively researched and documented the Nation’s costly struggle to manually answer routine citizen phone calls placed to jails.  The founders shared a vision for centralized automation and diligent customer service that would lead to success for facilities, taxpaying citizens, and the Company itself.

Telerus has invested heavily in a Class III data center infrastructure and robust voice platform in “the Cloud.”  This investment achieved the economies of scale necessary for voice automation services that jails of all sizes could afford and realize positive Return-on-Investments from Day 1.

Telerus services jails across the U.S. ranging in size from under fifty inmates to thousands.  Each facility’s current operations are surveyed and analyzed in detail before application configuration begins.  By listening carefully to each facility’s specific needs and encouraging requests for new capabilities, we are able to maintain an industry leading feature set that maximizes benefits from IVR technology.

These are some of the reasons that jails choose Telerus.  We welcome the opportunity to learn about your facility and discuss how our services might help you do more with less. Please drop us a line.

Before AIS™, working at the booking desk was just terrible. The phones never stopped ringing and it was really hard for callers to get through.
